
10 Dec 2019 Grammy Nominations: Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Cardi B, Ella Mai and Jorja Smith up for awards + full list of nominees
2019 Grammy Nominations – The 61st Grammy Awards are here and the list of nominees have been revealed.
The award show will take place on February 11 2019 in at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. A total of 84 awards will be handed out on the night, with Kendrick leading the way for individual nominations, having received eight.
Despite not releasing a solo album this year, the TDE artist is up for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Other artists with multiple nominations include Drake (seven), Boi-1da (six), Brandi Carlile (six), as well as Cardi B, Childish Gambino, H.E.R, and Lady Gaga, who each have five nods. British RnB singers Ella Mai and Jorja Smith are both nominated, Tiffany Haddish will compete for a spoken word award and Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle will battle it out to win Best Comedy Album.
