Eminem drops surprise new album ‘Kamikaze’ featuring soundtrack to new ‘Venom’ movie

Out of nowhere, Eminem has released a surprise new album, Kamikaze.

Having not dropped much new material since the release of Revival back in December 2017, Kamikaze is the first new body of work we’ve seen from Em in 2018.

Kamikaze is a 17-track project with limited guest appearances, just three from Joyner Lucas, Royce da 5’9 and two features with Jessie Reyez. The album itself takes shots at a wide range of people, including Donald Trump, Mike Pence, many new rappers and more. That venom we see from Em follows is similar to his BET Awards cypher, which dropped almost a year ago.

This latest album is his tenth, following on from The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, Encore, Relapse, Recovery, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 and Revival. Eight of those nine albums all debuted at #1 in the Billboards Album Chart. Despite being out for less than 24 hours, Eminem’s surprise new album currently sits at #1 in the iTunes charts, suggesting it will follow a similar trajectory.

Kamikaze also features a track called ‘Venom’, the soundtrack from the upcoming superhero film featuring Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed, which is due for release in October 2018.
