27 Sep Golden Boy: Kojo Funds releases highly-anticipated debut album
Since bursting onto the scene with the release of ‘Dun Talkin’ in October 2016, Kojo Funds has built up considerable appetite for a project, and now, we finally have one.
Golden Boy is a 16-track offering mixing some of Kojo Funds’ older hits with newer cuts. Anthems like ‘Dun Talkin (feat. Abra Cadabra)’, ‘Who Am I (feat. Bugzy Malone)’, ‘Stalling’, ‘Warning’ and ‘Check (feat Raye)’ all feature.
There are also fresh collaborations with the likes of Giggs, Maleek Berry and Kranium, as well as Yxng Bane and Masicka, both of whom featured alongside Kojo on Remedee’s ‘Creepin Up’, from The Intent 2 soundtrack.
Despite Kojo Funds having no album or even body of work to his name so far, instead opting for a barrage of popular singles and features, he has secured himself plenty of live shows and festival bookings, including performances at Sundown Festival 2018, Wireless and Dutch hip-hop festival Appelsap.
Accompanying the Kojo Funds’ Golden Boy album is a nationwide tour across seven cities, which has since been rescheduled since Plugsville’s original reporting of the event.
The tour was scheduled to take place in Birmingham on October 1, with the tour ending with in London at the 02 Forum Kentish Town on October 9, but will now run between 12 January – 22 January 2019. Original tickets are still remain valid.
