K Trap’s first headline gig saw the drill star bring out the likes of Krept & Konan, 67, Yxng Bane, Youngs Teflon and Suspect as special guests, with Loski and Kenny Allstar among the support acts. All in all, the night was a big success as Trapo shut down the sold-out 02 Islington Academy. Check out the highlights here.
Sir Wiggins survives UK Anti-Doping probe
UK anti-doping’s investigation into cycling legend Sir Bradley Wiggins has closed with allegations of wrongdoing falling through. Wiggins has been under investigation following a package that was delivered to his Team Sky doctor at the end of a Tour de France warm up race. UKAD could not prove what was in the package, which Wiggins claims was the decongestant, fluimucil.
BoJo’s dad enters the jungle
The father of celebrity MP Boris Johnson has appeared on the popular ITV gameshow ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!’. Stanley Johnson has vowed to defend his son should any contestant bring up views regarding his political career. He joins the likes of Amir Khan, Rebekah Vardy, Dennis Wise and Georgia Toffolo.
“Holloywood door not closed for Weinstein” says Cranston
Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston believes there could be a route back into Hollywood for disgraced stars Weinstein and Spacey, but it would take time and tremendous contrition. Cranston, speaking to the BBC, praised victims for coming forward and having the courage to report abuses.
Serena enjoys all-star wedding
Serena Williams married Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian in New Orleans in what was star-studded wedding. Names including Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria and of course sister Venus Williams turned up to see Serena tie the knot in a £2.6 million dress. Serena and Alexis and Serena have since jetted off with their baby daughter, Alexis Olympia.
The DC World hits theatres
Superhero flick Justice League hit UK cinemas on Friday. The long-awaited DC movie brings together the heavy hitters in the franchise for an action packed rollercoaster. The film has, however, been labelled a “flop” by some critics, and pulled in $2 million less than its $96million estimate.
