Skrapz has released his debut album, Different Cloth, and Avelino has put out a cold new EP, No Bullshit. The two projects mark the end of #RapHistoryMonth, in which Giggs, Krept & Konan, AJ Tracey, Wretch 32, Lotto Boyz, Young Spray and Prynce Mini all released new projects.


Akala lands book deal to continue educating the young

UK rapper Akala has signed a 2 book contract with Hodder Childern’s Books. Akala plans to pen a magical realist Shakespearean series of books with the first book, The Dark Lady, set for release in March 2019.



Cardi B and Offset get engaged

Offset surprised Cardi B during a concert in Philadelphia with a proposal, which she dully accepted. The Bodak Yellow singer recently posted a snap on Instagram captioned ‘single’, but now finds herself engaged to the Migos rapper and BET have expressed an interest in a wedding special.


Justin Timberlake announced for Superbowl 

Justin Timberlake will perform at the next Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota. Timberlake has promised not to make another blunder like he did in 2004 when he ripped the dress of co-performer Janet Jackson. The news has angered Jackson fans who have been complaining of sexism and white privilege.
