Good food, good music and good vibes is what Acoustic Live and Munch Club TV collaborated to deliver at their debut collaborative event on Sunday 12 May 2019.
As well as receiving three gluten free and halal tacos, attendees donated tinned foods to the North Enfield branch of the Trussell Trust Food Bank. Unfortunately, only 1/3 of London Boroughs have a plan to tackle food poverty; the Trussell Trust combats this issue with 58 food banks in and around London, which provide emergency food and support to those in poverty, with live performances on the night from spoken word artist Chozen The Poet, the RnB group The MMNT and the contemporary RnB singer Chrsl.
Munch Club TV is an up and coming urban food entertainment platform that combines Nyasha Sakutukwa’s passion for food and pop culture to create a cooking show that hosts a multitude of guests and discusses a number of important topics, such as body positivity and police brutality. Nyasha is also using the platform to inspire change and social activism – Munch Club TV is partnered with the Trussell Trust to fight food poverty through fundraising and food donations. They also partnered with Acoustic Live for this event, which is an award winning platform that holds high quality acoustic music events, with the aim of keeping stripped back music alive.
