27 Sep The Re Up: K Trap drops titular track from latest EP
K Trap’s latest music video is here. Like the tracks to precede the release of ‘The Re Up’, it carries the added sense of luxury displayed on his latest EP.
Directed by frequent collaborator Paul Whisper, ‘The Re Up’, the titular track from his latest body of work, is a more rap-slanted release from Trapo, with guest features from the likes of 67 and Youngs Teflon.
The Re Up dropped at the end of June 2018, an 11-track offering that saw Trapo merge his punchline-heavy, dark drill flow with even-more lavish punchlines and anecdotes. ‘What’s clear throughout The Re Up is that K Trap is finding effective ways to marry his drill flow with the luxury feel that more traditional rap usually carries. Still gritty, violent and blunt. But also lavish, extravagant and luxurious.’ To read Plugsville’s full review, click here.
The fifth music video from his second project, ‘The Re Up’ joins ‘Watching’, ‘Anything Else’, ‘A to B’ and ‘Edgware Road’ as the latest viral visual. Including this latest release, the EP has now brought in over 10 million YouTube views across its online releases, also charting in the top 40 of the Official Album Charts.
You can also catch K Trap at A3C Festival, an Atlanta-based music and speaker festival. The line-up this year includes Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Young MA, as well as Birmingham flag bearer Jaykae and Brixton Hill drill rapper K Trap.
