22 Nov Football Manager 2020: Why are Juventus called Zebre on FM20?
Maurizio Sarri’s side agreed to an exclusive partnership with Konami, so the answer to the question of why are Juventus called Zebre on FM20 is due to the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise.
The ‘Juventus’ name can only be used on PES, meaning a rebranding of sorts for the Old Lady, known as Zebre on this year’s version of Football Manager. PES2020 is an official partner of the club, which is why they’re also called Piemonte Calcio on FIFA 20.
Zebre is the Italian word for zebra, a nod towards their illustrious black and white strip. ‘Piemonte’ refers to the region in Turin where Juventus are based, while ‘Calcio’ is the Italian word for football. Instead of their traditional stripes, Juve have a black strip with a diagonal white stripe.
Player names and profiles remain intact, but Konami’s agreement means neither Football Manager nor FIFA can use the Juventus brand name. So you will still be able to lead Cristiano Ronaldo, Douglas Costa, Miralem Pjanic and co to glory, just under a different alias.
How to fix Juventus on FM20
One way of reverting Zebre back to Juventus is to use Football Manager Editor. Here is a step-by-step guide of what to do:
